Q. Is the International Airport located far from the capital of Athens ? A.= We couldn't say so.It is located at 27 kilometers north-east of Athens

Q. How could one proceed to rent a car? A.= You can rent a car at the International Airport . The car rental office is within walking distance from the Main Terminal Building .( at the northern side of the building).
Q. Any particular formalities? A.= The usual ones, only.such as I.D. card or passport and your driving permit, of course.
Q. Does the information come with the rental of the car? A. Indeed, it does.The rental representative will explain you how to reach your destination after you leave the airport, to join the MOTORWAY which is called "ATTIKI ODOS."
Q. Is this motorway linking the airport with Athens centre? A.= Yes, it does.It also links the airport with the south-eastern regions of Athens and as well as with numerous Athens suburbs. It is advisable that you get a FREE MAP at the toll .Note that the tool costs 2 Euros.
Q. How long should it take to get to Athens centre by car? A.= It should take approximately 55 minutes.

Q. How much does one ticket cost? A.= The ticket for the airport express lines costs 2.90 Euros. The ticket is good only for one trip to or from the airport. The same ticket is although good for 24 hours for one who likes to use all other transport modes such as trolley, bus or metro .Remember that the ticket is good for 24 hours from the time of its FIRST validation.
Q. How does the ticket get validated? A.= One must validate his ticket inside the bus. Note that the ticket must be validated TWICE if it is used for one or more public transport lines PRIOR to using an airport express line.
